There's a game called "FaceWound", a (self-titled) "Zombie Murder Simulator", which the author of Garry's Mod has been working on for a few years. He recently released the latest version for free, though he says "it's totally unfinished, unpolished and should be treated with the same attitude you’d treat a leaked alpha with" - despite this it's suprisingly bug-free, and fully playable (not to mention lots of fun). So far the only thing people seem to be moaning about is that you don't get extra lives or health during the game, making it rather difficult to finish.

From what I understand, there have been problems getting certain Creative Labs sound cards to work properly in Vista, even though they claim the cards are Vista compatible. A guy by the nick of "Daniel_K" (on the Creative Labs forums) hacked together drivers that actually work, as well as provide extra functionality on certain cards. Technically (legally) he shouldn't have done this, as it breaks the EULA and Copyright and blah blah blah, fair enough, so Creative Labs went and did this:

A new program has just been released for Team Fortress 2, called "TF2 Stats", which reads in one of your game files and displays all kinds of interesting information (even more than the score board does). The guy who coded it, did it over the Easter weekend - not bad for a few days work. It just reads in one of the files ("tf2_playerstats.dmx") from your game directory ("Steam\SteamApps<username>\team fortress 2\tf") - so you don't need to give it your Steam login details or anything risky like that.

This morning I read about "Dota Client", which I haven't heard about or used before so I figured I'd download it - only problem was I couldn't find a working download link, the "official" had a wait time of nearly and hour, and all the forums I found with it required me to register but then kicked me out every time I tried to download the file. Eventually I managed to get it, so here it is.
